Altar Guild and Acolytes
The Altar Guild cares for the Altar and Pulpit, prepares the Quarterly Conference reports and trains the Acolytes. Acolytes are youth members between 7 and 14 years of age. The Altar Guild duties and responsibilities include:
•Holding workshops for the Acolytes
•Preparing of Psalms for Psalm Sunday
•Cleaning of the Cross, Bible and candle holders, and Candle holders on the Altar
Acolytes are assigned duty each Sunday. Their responsibilities include:
•Helping pass the microphones to the Ushers to welcome visitors
•Assisting with the collection of the offering
•Starting the morning service every Sunday by lighting the candles at 10:45 a.m.
If your child is interested in becoming an Acolyte, please contact the church office or attend one of the meetings held on the third Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m. For additional information contact the Church Office.
